Trojan Presents: Freedom Sounds

Jamajka, bo to o nią – jak już się pewnie domyśliliście – chodzi, świętuje w tym roku 50-lecie swojej niepodległości. W związku z tym wydawnictwo Trojan Records postanowiło wydać 5-płytową kompilację „Freedom Sounds”. Znalazło się na niej ponad 100 piosenek reprezentujących pełen wachlarz stylów muzycznych i tematów. Usłyszymy tu zarówno ska, jak i współczesny dancehall. Jest i tematyka dotycząca wolności, i ta dotycząca miłości czy codziennego życia na wyspie. Większość nagrań wcześniej nie była oficjalnie dostępna poza Jamajką.

Do płyt dołączono 50-stronicową książeczkę z szczegółowym komentarzem dotyczącym historii Jamajki i jej muzycznego dziedzictwa. Całość wzbogacona m.in. o rzadkie zdjęcia. Ponadto, jako dodatkowy bonus, do „Freedem Sounds” dołączono 4 specjalnie zaprojektowane pocztówki (w formacie A5), wraz z naklejkami dotyczącymi obchodów 50-lecia niepodległości. Przygotowano także coś dla członków Trojan Appreciation Society. Po zarejestrowaniu się na stronie członkowie TAS będą mogli pobrać bonusową płytę.

Premiera składanki, oczywiście, 6 sierpnia.
